We’ve been following celebrity book clubs for some time now, and we’ve definitely learned that every book club has its own rhythm. Some years are packed with titles and discussion. Others unfold more slowly. That’s exactly what we’re seeing so far with Oprah’s Book Club in 2026.
After a surprisingly robust 2025 — which delivered eleven selections (a rare and exciting surge compared to the typical four picks per year) — 2026 has started quietly. So far, there have been no official selections.
At this point, we anticipate selections #121–125, with the potential to reach as high as #132 depending on how active the year becomes. While Oprah’s Book Club has long been one of the most influential forces in publishing, projections suggest that Reese’s Book Club may surpass it in total lifetime selections this year.
